Nomination Information

You are eligible for nomination as a candidate for municipal office if you are:

1. at least 18 years old on Election Day;
2. not disqualified pursuant to any Act;
3. a Canadian citizen at the time that he or she submits the nomination forms;
4. eligible to vote in the R.M. of Wellington;
5. has resided in Saskatchewan for at least six (6) consecutive months immediately preceding the date on which he or she submitted the nomination forms; and
6. resides in Saskatchewan

Nomination papers need at least two voters signatures. If you are seeking nomination as the reeve, the nominators may be any voter in the rural municipality. If you are running as a councillor, the nominators must be eligible to vote in the division you wish to represent.
